Areas of Specialty

Dr Lewis’s areas of specialty include PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, sleep-wake disorders, and the assessment of ADHD. Dr. Lewis offers a warm, culturally affirming, and non-judgmental space to examine what may be challenging you now, and to consider where you would like to go.

Approach to Therapy

Dr. Lewis practices primarily from an ACT and CBT framework that incorporates elements of psychodynamic therapy. She can also offer evidence-based treatments for PTSD including Written Exposure Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Therapy with Dr. Lewis tends to focus on the present moment while remaining curious about how your developmental history may be impacting you now. She approaches therapy as collaborative and co-creative; while she brings clinical expertise, you are the expert of your own life. Dr. Lewis is particularly attuned to the role of culture and socialization in mental health.
